Numbers

October 30, 2010

Tomorrow is our 1 year wedding anniversary. Our beautiful, fun, perfect Halloween wedding. October 31, 2009.

Which makes this the worst time to wonder… how do people stay married for 50 years? Or even 20, or 10, or… 5?

Our marriage has been 100 times more difficult than being a new mother. And we dated for 7 years prior to tying the knot.

How do mothers do it? How do they stay married?

He leaves to go on a work trip in 3 days and I am really looking forward to those days apart. And that is terrible.

It will be my 8th anniversary on tuesday!
And their are times I feel the same way – having a baby complicates things – Your feelings will change as your relationship changes.
    *hugs*

    • Thank you so much!

We had a much needed night out tonight for Halloween, which has always been our favorite holiday. It was fun to dress up together like we’ve always done and go out. My mom watched our son, and even though our time was limited it was still a lot of fun. 🙂 Made me glad to be married again.

      Happy anniversary to you!

  2. Hey do not feel bad. I think every relationship to stay healthy and happy requires that you spend time apart. If not you go crazy, start nit-picking and get miserable. Happy anniversary!

    • Thank you, that means a lot. 🙂

I don’t usually look forward to him leaving, I usually dread it, but in the end it’s always good because when he comes home we are refreshed and happy to see each other.

I’m so glad we went out and had a good time for Halloween, though!
